Rosenberger Commander meets Hatz Performance Tracking

Hatz Performance Tracking Basic can be linked to the software platform of the renowned digitalization expert Rosenberger Telematics. This means that Hatz-operated compact equipment can also be tracked via the Rosenberger Commander.

The dark spot on the digitization map becomes light. By linking Rosenberger Telematics with Hatz Digital Solutions, micro and compact construction machines can also be integrated into the fleet management of construction machine operators in the future.

Rosenberger is the specialist for telematics applications in the construction industry. The company from Timelkam in Austria, centrally located between Salzburg and Linz, supports machine and vehicle operators in the production, processing and interpretation of data generated during operation. With the Rosenberger Commander software platform, construction companies, logistics providers or rental parks can optimize the dispatching, maintenance and safety of their mobile machines, equipment and vehicles, regardless of the manufacturer.

Integrating compact equipment in a user-friendly way

Linking the Austrian digitization specialist's fleet management software with Hatz Performance Tracking data is a win-win situation for machine operators, as Dr. Maren Hellwig, Head of Digital Business Development at Hatz, explains: "The Basic version of our Performance Tracking is designed precisely for this use case. Those who already use a fleet management solution such as Rosenberger Commander can easily integrate their Hatz-operated machines into the machine monitoring system."

The operating information provided by Hatz Performance Tracking can be integrated into third-party software systems via the AEMP 2.0 interface. AEMP 2.0 is the industry standard for telematics data transmission. This means that the Hatz system provides the information in the standardized format according to ISO 15143-3, which the Rosenberger Commander visualizes in the user interface thanks to appropriate support of the AEMP 2.0 API. For the customer, this process is extremely simple, as Christian Meschnig, CEO of Rosenberger Telematics, explains: "The machine operator has almost no additional effort. He needs the appropriate license, logs in with his company-specific access data, and has access to the operating data of the Hatz-operated machines via the Rosenberger Commander."

Simplified documentation and billing

The transmission of engine data from compact equipment gives operators completely new possibilities. Even now, it is already possible to equip and monitor small machines with telematics. But until now, machine operators only received position data and an operating hours value. Insights into the operating data of Hatz engines are much more detailed. Current fuel consumption, idle times, installation data and the display of engine error messages enable great optimization potential to be leveraged, as Christian Meschnig explains:  "By combining Hatz Performance Tracking with the Rosenberger ecosystem, the operator benefits from a completion of the telematics information of his fleet, the optional use of alarm management, the geo-assignment of operating data, i.e. a job site assignment, an extensive rights and roles concept, and much more. The engine data is also important for determining CO2 emissions as the basis for the sustainability report."

Also a major benefit is the simplified and demand-based billing that comes with engine and machine monitoring using Performance Tracking and Rosenberger Commander. The data can be automatically forwarded to customers' ERP systems. This reduces administration effort and makes pay-per-use payment models a reality, even for very small machines.

Meschnig concludes: "With the Hatz solution, for the first time a detailed data set is available for small and compact machines, as we previously only knew from large machines. This closes the big gap in the digitization of construction sites. This pleases us as telematics and fleet management experts - but above all, it should excite all machine operators."
