A year that delivered, in every sense

2023 was a strong year for Rosenberger Telematics and for the customers who rely on Commander every day. Record delivery numbers, two industry recognitions, expanded hardware capabilities, and a growing network of distribution partners: the foundations for 2024 are solid.

Record delivery numbers

More than 37,000 telematics systems were delivered in 2023, a new record. For fleet and construction managers, that translates to more assets connected, more data flowing into Commander, and more decisions made with confidence rather than guesswork.

Industry recognition: two awards in one year

The year opened with the German Innovation Award and closed with the German Telematics Award 2024, both recognising Commander’s approach to making complex fleet data actionable. These awards reflect what customers already know: the platform works, and it keeps getting better.

Hardware: 4G/LTE and new asset tracking

Hardware is the data layer that feeds Commander. In 2023, the hardware portfolio expanded with 4G/LTE functionality devices, ensuring reliable connectivity for fleets operating in areas where older network standards are being phased out. The TINO 1000 also launched as a dedicated asset tracking device, extending Commander’s reach to non-powered equipment and mobile assets.

Additionally, eCar-Cycle joined as an EV monitoring distribution partner, and Celphone became a sales partner covering Switzerland, expanding the Commander ecosystem across new markets.

Open standards: joining OpenTelematics

Rosenberger Telematics joined OpenTelematics in 2023, reinforcing the commitment to open interfaces and system interoperability. Commander’s integrations, including ISO 15143-3 for construction machinery, make it possible to connect virtually any asset to the platform, with or without proprietary hardware.
