The most demanding evaluation, and first place

The German Telematics Prize 2024 (Deutscher Telematikpreis), awarded by ETM Verlag, named Commander first place in the Asset Management category. More than 40 telematics solutions competed across 10 categories in the most thorough evaluation the prize has run to date.

For the first time, entries were assessed not just on submitted questionnaires, but on live performance: user-friendliness under real conditions, task completion efficiency, and the depth of the solution’s innovative capability. Commander passed every stage. First place was the result.

What the evaluation tested

Asset management in the field is not a theoretical exercise. Vehicles, machines, and entire construction sites need to be tracked, including every mobile device and piece of equipment attached to them. The jury tested Commander’s ability to deliver a complete operational picture: live location, status, movement history, and zone-based inventory for assets of every type.

Commander did not just pass. It demonstrated the depth that distinguishes a purpose-built telematics platform from point solutions: the same system that tracks a vehicle also tracks the machinery on it and the tools unloaded from it. One login. One data set. Complete visibility.

A platform built for the full asset lifecycle

  • Live tracking of vehicles, machines, and mobile assets, all in a single Commander view
  • Zone-based inventory for construction sites: know what is on site, what has left, what is overdue
  • Integrated with digital logbook, tachograph management, and beacon-based small-device tracking
  • Data hosted in Austria: private cloud at conova communications, Salzburg

On winning

“I said we wanted first place, and our team took it literally. We have developed an extremely efficient solution for asset management and we are of course delighted to be recognised in this way.”

— Christian Meschnig, Managing Director, Rosenberger Telematics GmbH
