DREIHANS: Three Companies, One Platform
Three construction companies. One significant step.
In October 2023, three established Mühlviertel construction companies, Hehenberger Bau, Kumpfmüller Bau, and Brüder Resch, merged to form DREIHANS. It was a significant structural change, combining the resources, expertise, and mixed fleets of three independent businesses into a single entity.
What made the digital transition manageable was that two of the three companies were already long-standing Commander customers. Brüder Resch had been with Rosenberger Telematics since March 2019. Hehenberger Bau since April 2021. When DREIHANS was formed, a large share of the combined fleet was already on the platform. The telematics infrastructure did not need to be built from scratch. It needed to scale.

Over 300 devices. One unified view.
Following the merger and fleet consolidation, over 300 telematics devices were activated across DREIHANS’ mixed fleet on Commander. The full breadth of the combined operation, machines, vehicles, and equipment from all three legacy companies, is visible in a single platform, managed with a single interface.
That continuity matters. A fleet that had operated across three separate organisations could have faced months of re-onboarding, fragmented data, and platform changes. Instead, DREIHANS inherited a data foundation that was already mature and a platform that all three organisations had already validated in operation.
Efficiency through integration
Commander gives DREIHANS constant visibility into live operations, machine locations, utilisation, maintenance status, and cost centre assignment, across the entire merged fleet. That operational transparency directly supports the efficiency gains a merger is supposed to deliver. You cannot consolidate what you cannot see.
What the DREIHANS deployment looks like
- 300+ telematics devices active across a mixed construction fleet
- Unified platform view covering machines, vehicles, and equipment from all three legacy companies
- Continuous real-time visibility into locations, utilisation, and operational status
- Long-standing partnership with two of the three founding companies, no re-onboarding required
- Scalable platform ready to grow with the merged organisation
Synergy is only possible when data is shared
The promise of any construction company merger is operational synergy: shared resources, better scheduling, less duplication. Commander makes that promise deliverable. When the entire fleet is visible on one platform, dispatchers can assign the nearest available machine rather than the nearest available machine they happen to know about. That is the difference telematics makes, and it scales with the size of the operation.
