BGO: Digital Transformation in Assembly and Logistics
400 containers. 454 assets. 10 locations. One platform.
BGO Montage & Logistik, part of BGO Holding and based in Waidhofen an der Ybbs, provides assembly and logistics services for the office furniture industry, serving brands including bene, hali, and neudoerfler. Founded in 2019, the company scaled quickly. And with scale came complexity: containers travelling across Europe, trucks requiring tachograph compliance, and a maintenance workload that no spreadsheet could handle.
Commander brought it all into one view.

The container problem: knowing where assets are
Fleet Manager Gerald Weber described the situation plainly: “There were always cases where containers were parked with the haulier for too long or could not even be found at short notice.” With 400 containers in daily use travelling across Europe, the inability to locate assets on demand was both a cost problem and an operational risk.
Commander’s asset tracking module solved it. Container positions are now always visible. A single glance at the platform shows exactly where each container is, how long it has been there, and whether it needs to be recovered from a haulier’s yard.
“The software is clear and easy to use - the positions of the containers are always clearly visible and maintenance management is mapped transparently.” — Gerald Weber, Fleet Manager, BGO
Safety across Europe. Tachograph compliance automated.
Managing Director Peter Morawetz is direct about the stakes: “Safety is the be-all and end-all. Our containers are travelling all over Europe, and negligence in maintenance would entail an unacceptable business risk.” That safety obligation extends to drivers: tachograph compliance is not negotiable under EU regulations.
Commander’s Tachograph module automates driver card data downloads, ensuring that every legally required record is retrieved on time, without manual intervention from the fleet management team.
Maintenance management that keeps pace
“There are numerous maintenance and inspection tasks to complete every day. It is crucial that all equipment is in perfect condition in order to minimise safety risks,” Gerald Weber noted. Commander provides a structured maintenance management view: service schedules, inspection due dates, and documentation are all managed in the platform. Nothing slips through unnoticed.
