Telematics made easy: Rosenberger Telematics and STRABAG BMTI demonstrate joint digitalization capabilities at the VDBUM large-scale seminar
2026.02.12, Willingen
At the 54th VDBUM Seminar 2026 in Willingen (February 10β13), the construction industry focused on the main theme of βBuilding bridges β shaping the future!β This year's industry gathering was a particular highlight for Rosenberger Telematics: CEO Christian Meschnig took to the stage alongside Christoph Kellner, telematics project manager at STRABAG BMTI, and demonstrated in the session βTelematics made easyβ how digitalization can be implemented simply, securely, and scalably in the construction industry β using STRABAG BMTI as a practical example.
Together on stage β sending a strong signal to the industry
The joint presentation by STRABAG and Rosenberger Telematics underscores the trusting cooperation between the two companies. The long-standing partnership, which is based on stability and a high level of implementation expertise, has proven itself in numerous successful projects. Rosenberger Telematics has been supporting STRABAG as a βglobalβ telematics partner in over 15 countries since 2018 β and thus to an extent that goes far beyond individual projects.
The presentation focused on STRABAG BMTI, the STRABAG Group's mechanical engineering service provider responsible for the group-wide operational management of mobile equipment (including construction machinery, vehicles, and devices) based on standardized guidelines.
It is precisely in this environment that the true importance of telematics becomes apparent: consolidating and harmonizing data from various sources and making it usable as a reliable basis for decision-makingβfor example, for investments, maintenance, logistics, asset tracking, or COβ reporting.
Rosenberger Telematics demonstrated a clear 5-step process for turning heterogeneous telematics data into usable insights: from data import, source integration, and harmonization to use cases and integration into existing systems. Standardization is key here: different data formats are converted into a uniform model so that fleets and machine parks become transparent, comparable, and controllable.
Parallel to the lecture program, Rosenberger Telematics invited visitors to its trade fair stand for a live demo of the COMMANDER telematics platform β a 100% in-house development with highly scalable streaming architecture and a focus on large device fleets. Visitors were able to exchange ideas in person about use cases, integrations, and rollout experience.
Conclusion: The joint appearance with STRABAG is an honor β and a clear signal to the market and competition. Rosenberger Telematics stands for a partnership that has not only grown historically, but also scales operationally β internationally, long-term, and on an equal footing.
Wir liefern Werte.
